Assam:
Team Rehab with people of Bongaigoan celebrated Independence
Day by hosting flag and singing National Anthum at Rehab Model Village in
Bongaigoan District, Assam at 9.00 am on Thursday, August 15, 2013.
The session was started by Mr. Md. Ali, General Secretary of Boys Youth Group. In his speech, he recollected the ideas of our freedom fighters like Gandhi Ji, Badruddin Tyabji, Bhagat Singh, Bi-Amma, Begum Hazrat Mehal, Chandra Shekhar Azad and stressed that their belief & dream of India is now on the shoulders of todays youth for its realization.
Also, Mr. Hamid School Teacher Nachunguri Village remembered popular Independence movements such as Reshmi Rumal Movement, Non-cooperative Movement, Civil Obedience Movement and Quit India Movement etc.
This was followed by speech of Mr. Saravana Kumar Assam & Central Zone Project Manager. He talked about National Unity irrespective of religion and caste. He said that individual development is not only important for individual or family progress, but for the development of our nation. He expressed, “despite different language and culture, one thing binds us and unites us as one and that is the spirit of nationalism.”
160 men,women & children participated on this auspicious day and celebrated the event in its true color.

West Bengal:
Md. Nazmul Haque, Asstt. Programme Manager from West Bengal
reported that 67th Independence Day was joyfully celebrated in
Hajipara, Balagacchi, Kabilpur, Borjumla, Borjumla, Kohitpur and Mohaldar Para Villages
of Murshidabad District, West Bengal.
During the celebration, Flag was hosted byJinarul Islam,
Rehab Community Centre Incharge and various activities were performed by
students such as singing patriotic songs, delivering speeches and sharing
poems. At the end, sweet packets were distributed to the students and other
participants. And, at Borjumla 57 community persons participated.
