Murshidabad, 15th Jan 2013: To understand the issues and
problems of the parents and children, Rehab India Foundation organized door to
door campaign under phase II of Enrollment Fest at Kabil Pur, Sreekrishna Pur,
Dhumpara, Balagacchi, Mohaldar Para and Kohitpur Village of Murshidabad
District, West Bengal.
With the objective to increase the enrollment of children in the Schools and
to inform the community about the Right to Free and Compulsory Education, Rehab
India Foundation unlocked ‘ Enrollment Fest’ in above six Villages on 7th
January of same year.
First Phase:
The program is divided into three phases.During first phase, meeting
with community people, teachers and parents was conducted and formed a group of
like minded people.
Second Phase:
This phase is all about disseminating information and awareness of
education through distribution of Information Education and Communication (IEC)
material and door to door campaign. Door to door campaign is in the process and
will be continued till 21st January 2013.Sharing the views, Nishad,
Program Manager said, “ignorance, illiteracy and poverty are the major hurdles
in the way of education. This besides, Team member will distribute pamphlets in
regional languages on 22 January 2013.
Third Phase:
In the third phase, dropout students will be gathered. They will be
motivated to get enrolment in the Government Schools. Next, review meeting will
be planned later to check the percentage of enrolled students.
