Rehab Journalism Scholarship Programme-2013




New Delhi, May 16th, 2013: Rehab India Foundation inaugurated Journalism Scholarship Programme at Kalindikunj, New Delhi on May 16th, 2013.

Musarrat Warsi, HR/PR Manager said, “Rehab India Foundation, a not for profit organization have been working relentlessly to bridge the gap between BHARAT and INDIA, through its various community welfare endeavors to attain the goal. And E. Abubacker, Chairman Rehab is one of them who started Rehab India Foundation with a team of like minded people to kick out inequality and injustice from the society...In 2012-13, Rehab team was involved in implementing various social welfare projects be it village development programme, Assam model village, Self Help Groups, MSW scholarship programme, educare centre and employment oriented programmes.”

Syed Anwar Coordinator of Journalism Programme Rehab India Foundation explained the Journalism Scholarship Programme at length which will offer best practices of reporting, editing, scientific research, history of journalism, training etc.

Mr. Sharan J R Managing Trustee of Sankalp Foundation interacted with the audience and shared his valuable tips to the students preparing for their entrance test.

One of the eminent Board Member of Rehab and Editor of Milli Gazette, Mr. Zafarul Islam encouraged students to inculcate habit of reading news paper.  He said, “There is a change between past and current media. Earlier there were few national and regional dailies and printing was a difficult task. Now, things have changed through different medium of communication.”


 Afroz Alam Sahil, Editor (Investigation), Beyond Headlines, threw light on the governance issues marring the global image of India. Mr Tanveer, Journalist and Activist, discussed current issues covered by print and electronic media.
