Rehab distributes Qurbani food kits
During
the Celebration of Eid-Al-Azha, Rehab India Foundation Distributed Food Kits
among more than 25,000 deprived families.
Delhi,
27th Oct 2012: Rehab India Foundation distributed Qurbani Food Kits to the poor and needy families across North and North Eastern
States including Refugee Camps in Assam during the festival of Eid-al-Azha.
For this noble activity of Rehab, Donors across the country joined hands and
offered their share of Qurbani to Rehab Qurbani Food Distribution Program 2012.On the occasion, over fifteen
thousand kilos of Qurbani Food Kits was distributed in the Camps.
Apart from Assam refugee camps, Rehab
distributed Qurbani food kits to places where it is active in its major social endeavors
like West Bengal, Manipur, Bihar, U.P, A.P., and Rajasthan and Delhi also.
E. Abubacker, Chairman of Rehab India Foundation said, “Rehab Family is highly thankful to all our Donors and
Supporters who were actively involved in making this program successful as it
was done in the last year.” To add to it, he also extended his gratitude
towards the volunteers who worked hard during the festival to help the
fellow citizens.

FAMILY GET TOGETHER OF SELF EMPLOYMENT BENEFICIARIES PROGRAM IN NEW DELHI
New
Delhi, 20th Oct: Honored as Chief Guest, Dr. Mushahid, Prof. in
Jamia Milia Islamia inaugurated the program titled “Family Get Together of Self
Employment Beneficiaries”.
A
voluntary organization, Rehab India Foundation distributed interest free loans
to the needy for self employment. The loan was utilized for various livelihood
generation activities like buying Rickshaw, establishing tea stalls, small
grocery shops etc. The program aimed to inculcate behavioral change among the
beneficiary on savings & moral values in the family.150 beneficiary with
their family participated in the one day get together cum workshop program.
The
Chief Guest of the day Dr. Mushahid addressed the gathering and emphasized that
every parent should ensure that their children must complete education so that
they can contribute in the development of their family & society by and
large.
Usman
Baig from Popular Front of India also appreciated the efforts of Rehab India
Foundation. In addition, Prizes were distributed to the Self-Employment
beneficiaries who had paid all the installment of Loan.
This
besides, Prizes were distributed to the students of Rehab Tuition Centre.
Prizes were given for regular attendance, hygiene and on good behavior.
Safarullah
Program Manager in Rehab gave lecture on Moral and Ethical Values. After vote
of thanks given by Team Rehab, Food packets were distributed among the
beneficiaries.

Rehab India foundation distributed Interest free Loan to ‘ Padosi’(Self help group ) members of Anandpeta Village at Guntur, A.P
Guntur, Oct 2012: Rehab India Foundation in its initiative to
improve the livelihood of the marginalized section of society distributed
interest free loan to Padosi (SHG ) members. It aims to improve economic
condition of deprived, economically poor and marginalized women under Rehab’s
Economic Development Project.
During the occasion, among 15 members of Padosi SHG,
six members received interest free loan costs INR 7500. Loan was distributed
initiating micro enterprise like Petty Shop, Vegetable Corner and Tailoring
Shop so that they can have excess to better life for their family especially
children.
They were encouraged towards the habit of saving
by making them aware about savings & its significance keeping in mind about
the expansion of the micro-enterprise.
Insafuddeen, South Zone Manager explained other
projects of Rehab running in different States of India. Muhammad Asif, Field
Surveyor advised on different aspect of micro-enterprise to the participating
beneficiary initiating the micro business. To add to it, he stressed upon
improving the living standard by inculcating behavioral changes towards savings
& most importantly sending their children to school irrespective of their
gender.
Later on, Hafiz Abid Husain welcomed SHG members
attending Moral Class for better lifestyle. It was told that how they should
behave with their parent, husband and children. They were taught about the
importance of social work in the Islam and what are the duties towards
neighbour.
Inaugration of skill Development Training Program in Bhansibadi Village of Katihar District, Bihar
Katihar,
17 Oct 2012: Rehab India Foundation inaugurated Skill Development Training
Program for marginalized and neglected women of Bhansibadi Village in the
Community Centre of Rehab.
After need assessment and baseline survey conducted
by Rehab Researchers, twenty beneficiaries have been selected for giving
training in tailoring. They will be trained in drafting, cutting and stitching
of male and female outfits.
Program will be beginning from Monday, 22 Oct 2012.
For the purpose, one skilled and experienced trainer has been appointed.
Including tailoring, support services like marketing
skills and personality session would be given to the beneficiaries.

COMMUNITY CENTER INAUGURATION AT NANDAVARAM VILLAGE IN YAMIGNUR, A.P.
Kurnool, 3rd Oct: Mandal Parishath,
Development Officer of Govt. of India inaugurated community center in
Nandavaram village in Block Yamignur under village development program of Rehab
India Foundation.
On the occasion, Rajeshwer Rao said that
education is most essential element for total development of the community. He
appreciated Rehab for adopting Nandavaram Village. He offered street lamp installation
in the village and promised to extend cooperation for the realization of the
program.
“we are glad that Rehab India Foundation works
irrespective of cast, creed and religion”, said Jayaram. Yusuf Moulana of
popular front of India state executive member AP promised all possible support
to for the progress of village.
Insaffuddin, South Zone Project
Coordinator shed light over other upcoming programs such as health care &
various skill development training programs in the same village.
In a nutshell, guests appreciate the
efforts of the Team Rehab. Arif Khan, South Zone Field Officer showed Power
point presentation of Rehab’s all India Projects. As far as Tuition Centre is
concerned, students and drop-outs will initiate sessions form 10th October.
COMMUNITY CENTER INAUGURATION AT NANDAMURI NAGAR VILLAGE IN NANDIYAL, A.P.
Kurnool, 4th Oct: Mr. Salamullah, Ex-Counselor
inaugurated Community Centre in Nandamuri Nagar Village of Block Nandyal under
Village Development Program of Rehab India Foundation.
In his welcome speech, Mr. Syed Haroon
Rasheed, Project Coordinator in Nandamuri Nagar explained that community centre
will work as a nucleus of Village Development program for channelizing
different community development activities.
Hailing the activities of Rehab,
Abdullah Contractor suggested to the volunteers of Rehab to initiate Tuition Centre
as there is the dire need to boost education in the town. Shading light over
the different project running in Andhra Pradesh, Insaffuddin, South Zone
Project Manager explained different programs running in the poorest villages of
the State and under those programs how marginalized community can improve their
socio-economic status.
Attahulla from Popular Front of India
said, “Rehab has been running different programs for Minorities and other
unsung groups. We appreciate their initiatives. Whenever they will be in need
of support, we will give full cooperation to them.”The Tuition Center initiative
will commence from 8th Oct with 30 students.

Free Medical Camp in Shrikrishnapur, West Best Bengal
Murshidabad, 2nd Oct 2012: Rehab India Foundation
organized Free Medical Health Camp for minority, SC/ST, Dalit and other
neglected groups on Tuesday in Shrikrishna Pur Village of District Murshidabad,
West Bengal.
The purpose of the camp is to facilitate an opportunity for underprivileged
children, adult and senior citizen to avail free medical checkup, medicines and
consultancy services. About 55 patients who were neither able to afford nor
having any basic knowledge regarding health and hygiene availed free medical
facilities.
In addition, Rehab organizes free health camps once in a
month through-out the year irrespective of caste, creed and religion for making
a healthy and happy society.
During the program, useful information on general and
personal health & hygiene was disseminated by team of experienced Doctors. People
were told that how they can keep themselves away from diseases.
Nishad K.M, Project Manager of Rehab India Foundation said
that all the patients of village were examined and free medicines were distributed
among them. Medical test for blood pressure, BMI (Body Mass Index), ENT and
other various tests were carried out during the program.
In a nutshell, Rehab India Foundation implemented the program
successfully. Volunteers of Rehab distributed their contact numbers for any
medical emergency.
