Escape Poverty



Anandpeta, April 2013: To provide financial services to low income and zero income women, Rehab India foundation triggered up Padosi SHG Phase-III programme at Anandpeta, District Guntoor, Andhra Pradesh in April 2013.


Loan was distributed by Hafiz Abid, Project Coordinator of SHG Programme. On the occasion, three women received loan worth Rs. 7500/- each. The women namely Janamma, Pathan Fathima and Raheemuneesa received financial aid for initiating and continuing Sarees sales business.

Mr. Raheem, Moral Educationalist took session on women rights and said, “A woman in Islam has the right to acquire knowledge and education and Islam does not prohibit woman working outside the home.” To add to it, he encouraged women to support their family and took a step forward for better future of their children.

Career Guidance Programme



To broaden student’s awareness of career options and ensure them about various post-school studies, financial aid, and work opportunities available, Rehab India Foundation organized Career Guidance Programme in Holagunda and Nandamuri Nagar Villages of Andhra Pradesh dated on 20th and 21st April 2013.

The workshops at two different locations were organized for Xth and XIIth students who were struggling trying to select their first career direction. They were guided to choose right course according to their interest and matches to personality style.
As already explained that programme was held at two different locations; Nandamuri Nagar and Holagunda, Chief Guests Shiksha Wali and Khadar Muhammed guided students to set a plan and move step by step. Both advised to identify those careers that are likely to enjoy doing most.

A Step towards UN MDGs



Assam, March 26, 2013; Achieving 2nd UN Millennium Development Goal, Rehab India Foundation unveiled Preprimary School at Assam Model Village, Bongaigaon dated on March 26, 2013.


Addressing all participants, teacher Abdul Hamid said, “Perpetuation of violence, expression of intolerance, discrimination, inequality and growing disparities in Assam and in any other corner of world can be solved by giving right education to the people. We are sure that education has the power to eradicate all evils from society. And, we need to teach our children in such a way that they will spread peace and harmony within the family and between different communities.”

Focusing on empowerment of Muslim Community through education, Nowsad Ali, Former President Hapachara Gram Panchayat expressed his grief and said, bad people first destroy their surrounding and finally themselves, so we need to teach our children mutual cooperation, fundamental peace and harmony to make surrounding and family more beautiful.”

Adding to it, Sarvana Kumar explained importance of 2nd UN Millennium Development Goal. He told, “Achieving primary education is a global concern and we need to take strong steps from today. Now people need to accept the fact that education is the only means for all round development of human. And Rehab believes that all children should have the opportunity to learn regardless of their financial condition.”

On the same, Feroja Begam, Head Master Hapachara High School was delighted to receive the response of participants. She said that it is a good beginning that forty children have enrolled and hope that in future Rehab will be succeeded to enrol more poor children and will support them for higher education.

Overall, 128 people attended the programme. Chief Guests distributed School Kits to the students, and shared snacks with all the participants.
