Education: Window of Healthy Society


Bundi, 15th Jan 2013: For realizing the role of education for the development of human being, Rehab India Foundation conducted Education Awareness Programme at Rehab Educare Centre at Talera Village of Bundi Taluk, Bundi District, Rajasthan.

Safarullah, Asst. Programme Manager said, “In spite of most important key to unlock the door of success, education is a reflection of a good civilization and it removes blanket of ignorance.” Add to it, he encouraged parents to enroll their children in government schools where they can acquire free education.

During the programme, challenges of parents were discussed. People were convinced that education is necessary for good society. It is helpful for not to improve livelihood but level of understanding. Altogether, 40 students and 70 parents were attended the programme.

In Talera, it has running Village Development Programme. Team Rehab has inaugurated tuition centre and has been running Educare Centre. In this village, 158 students are getting free tuition classes. In future, it is planning to conduct medical camp and employment generation programme.

Enrollment Fest: Education Awareness Program


Murshidabad, 15th Jan 2013: To understand the issues and problems of the parents and children, Rehab India Foundation organized door to door campaign under phase II of Enrollment Fest at Kabil Pur, Sreekrishna Pur, Dhumpara, Balagacchi, Mohaldar Para and Kohitpur Village of Murshidabad District, West Bengal.

With the objective to increase the enrollment of children in the Schools and to inform the community about the Right to Free and Compulsory Education, Rehab India Foundation unlocked ‘ Enrollment Fest’ in above six Villages on 7th January of same year.

First Phase:
The program is divided into three phases.During first phase, meeting with community people, teachers and parents was conducted and formed a group of like minded people.


Second Phase:
This phase is all about disseminating information and awareness of education through distribution of Information Education and Communication (IEC) material and door to door campaign. Door to door campaign is in the process and will be continued till 21st January 2013.Sharing the views, Nishad, Program Manager said, “ignorance, illiteracy and poverty are the major hurdles in the way of education. This besides, Team member will distribute pamphlets in regional languages on 22 January 2013.

Third Phase:
In the third phase, dropout students will be gathered. They will be motivated to get enrolment in the Government Schools. Next, review meeting will be planned later to check the percentage of enrolled students.

Medical Relief Programme at Nizamudheen Colony


Kurnool, 6th Jan 2012: To provide health care solutions for all, Rehab India foundation organized Medical camp at Nizamudheen Colony in Adoni Block of Kurnool District, AP.

Medical camp was structured under the supervision of M.B.B.S doctor Abdul Kaleem. Doctor provides consultation to the visitors. 88 poor patients were benefited from the camp and got free check-up and medicine. Most of the patients who attended medical camp were suffering from body pain, joint pain, viral fever, cold, diabetes, high and low blood pressure and other vulnerable diseases.

Village Development Project:

Rehab India Foundation is running Village Development Programme at Nizamudheen Colony. The objective of the programme is to access quality education, economic empowerment and improved health for neglected community people. Presently, Rehab is running free tuition centre for poor student (class 1st to IXth). It also organizes medical camp for poor people and distributes free medicine to them. Including, Team Rehab is planning to initiate self employment programme for poor and distress people.

Donate a Blanket, Save a Life


Katihar, 8th Jan 2013: Providing winter relief to the poor people who were affected by cold waves, Rehab India Foundation organized Blanket Distribution Drive at Bansibari Village of Hasanganj Block of Katihar District, Bihar.

The volunteers surveyed the village and selected poor people to ensure that the really needy people benefit from this drive. Blankets were distributed to the homeless and other needy people who were asleep without blanket or a thin sheet.

Blanket Distribution Drive at Delhi:
As per the commitment to provide emergency relief to poor and neglected people, Rehab conducted Blanket distribution programme on 5th January 2013 at Abul Fazal Enclave, New Delhi. During the winter relief programme, five families received woolen blankets.

24x7 Mobile Medical Aid with Lab Facility


Kamrup, 9th Jan 2013: Heman Nath, M.B.B.S doctor of Hekra P.H.C inaugurated Rehab mobile medical unit with laboratory facility at 12 pm at Bidiyanagar, Kamrup District, Assam.


Nath with a team of three Farmacist and a lab technician checked and diagnosed patients irrespective of caste, creed and religion. Mostly Hindu and Muslim victims were there to get medical aid. They got complete treatment with urine and blood test and free medicine.


During this programme, Rehab volunteers were involved to provide medical relief to the fateful community people of natural calamity and victims of BTAD violence.  Free medicines were distributed among more than 225 patients.

Small Loan, Big Benefits


Guntoor, Jan 6th 2013:  Under Padosi SHG Phase-II Programme, Rehab India Foundation provides microloans to three underprivileged women at anandpeta, district Guntoor, Andhra Pradesh.

Rehab has entered in Phase-II of self employment programme. For this phase, it has selected 15 new Padosi SHG members. Among them, three poor women received loan for initiating micro business. Mahoboobi Shaik received Rs. 7500 loan for initiating hotel, while same amount was sanctioned to Shaik Noorjahan and Akheela for starting Petty Shop.

Phase-I:
A Public Charitable Trust, Rehab India Foundation is actively involved in various kinds of development activities ranging from village development programme, educare centre, food kit distribution, skill development training, SHG & self employment, emergency relief programme, model village in Assam to Blanket distribution drive. I t has successfully completed Phase –I of Self Employment Programme. During phase-I, team rehab selected 15 Padosi SHG members for facilitating interest free loan to deprived women.

A Step for a Cause


New Delhi: Providing winter relief to poor and distress people, Rehab India Foundation organized Blanket Distribution Drive on 5th January 2013 at Rehab Head Quarter, Abul Fazal Enclave New Delhi.

While breaking 43 years record, Cold waves continues to grip North India, especially Delhi.  This winter Delhi has been hit by extreme cold and taken lives of poor people living on street, under flyovers and slum areas. In view, Rehab India Foundation conducted emergency relief operations for underprivileged people for keeping them protective from chilling cold.

Besides emergency relief operations, Rehab India Foundation is involved in the wholesome development of villages, MSW executive coaching, educare centre, skill development training, medical aid and SHG & self employment programmes for weaker sections of society.
